Alonna grew up in Benicia, CA and from a young age danced for a local children’s ballet and jazz company. She found yoga in college as a great substitute for dance. During challenging times in her young adulthood she found refuge in yoga. Being able to move and breathe to connect with her body helped (and continues to help) bring her peace and calm. She is currently in graduate school and pursing her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology. She incorporates a social emotional learning through movement curriculum in her Kids Yoga classes. She has been a member of MPY for 3 years, and a teacher for almost 2 and she feels so grateful to be a part of an amazing supportive healthy community!
